Before the company's Ocean SUV has even launched, the ambitious folks at Fisker have announced a second, smaller SUV called the Pear. Knowing that the name stands for Personal Electric Automotive Revolution rather than the delicious, sweet fruit makes us cringe, but we nonetheless expect it to be attractive and have decent range. The 2024 Pear will likely take style inspiration from the handsome Ocean and deliver a driving range of around 250 miles per charge. Details on the Pear are limit ed, but Fisker has said it will be built in Ohio in partnership with electronics manufacturer Foxconn. Fisker is currently taking reservations for the Pear and says deliveries of the new SUV will start in 2024 with prices starting around $30,000.
The Pear will be an all-new nameplate for the fledgling Fisker brand, and despite its attractively low starting price, we expect to see some clever technology features and upscale styling from the small Fisker hasn't announced what trim levels the Pear will be offered in and it hasn't said how much each one will cost, but we know that the base level will come in around $30,000 before federal tax rebates. We expect the Pear to mirror the larger Ocean SUV, so we're expecting to see Sport, Ultra, and Extreme trim levels, all with an increasing number of features and range. Like the Ocean, the Pear may offer a loaded special edition One trim at launch with unique features or styling.
