All-new Morgan Super 3 revealed

Morgan has unveiled the Super 3 – the successor to the iconic Three Wheeler and the continuation of a 113-year legacy.

The all-new model is built on an aluminum platform made out of three parts, and it is the first Morgan with a monocoque structure.

The Super 3 ditches the motorcycle-derived V-twin engine of its predecessor favour of a front-mounted three-cylinder 1.5-litre Ford engine – a normally aspirated 118bhp version of the unit that powers the Ford Fiesta ST.

Once again, a five-speed manual gearbox from the Mazda MX-5 is used, driving the single rear wheel.

Available to order now, Super 3 is priced from £41,995 in the UK, with customer deliveries starting in June 2022

Like every Morgan, it will be built in Malvern, Worcestershire, at the company’s Pickersleigh Road factory. Skilled craftsmen and women have been handcrafting cars in these hallowed red brick buildings since 1914, just five years after HFS Morgan invented the first Morgan, known as ‘The Runabout’.

“Super 3 stands out as something different. It looks towards our past, is relevant in the present, and reinstates a firm vision of Morgan’s design future.
