Bird drop pings

Cause

• Acids present in bird drop pings can penetrate the paint film and cause varying problems ranging from mild staining to penetration through to the Zinc layer

Prevention

• Remove drop pings as soon as possible

• Protect finish with high quality wax polish (frequently)

• Avoid parking under trees

Remedy

• Cover with wet paper towel and leave for a few minutes

• Remove paper and wipe away drop ping, and allow to dry

• Stanining can be removed by polishing local area, or refinishing if damage is more severe
