  1. Aston Martin Valkyrie: $3.2 million

This is an aerodynamic sportscar with a 6.5 litre naturally-aspirated V12 engine. It has a 1:1 power / weight ratio and is fitted with a Rimac-built battery system, which generates 1130 bhp. 150 models will be released in 2018, with 25 track-only editions to follow. It is constructed around a carbon fibre chassis with integrated elements such as Venturi tunnels, helping to reduce downforce and drag, making the car more streamlined.

 

  1. Lykan Hypersport: $3.4 million

This Lebanese supercar had a starring role in Fast & Furious 7, grabbing the attention of automotive aficionados as it crashed through the Dubai skyline. It stands out from the crowd because of its bling-tastic styling, such as customisable diamond-encrusted headlights with LED blades. The scissor doors make it look very special and the futuristic interior would not look out of place in Blade Runner. Its twin-turbo 3.7 litre engine produces 780 hp and 780 torque. It accelerates from 0-62 mph in 2.8 seconds, with a startling top speed of 240 mph.

 

  1. McLaren P1 LM: $3.6 million

This street-legal version of the track-only McLaren P1 GTR is not on general release. Its modified rear wing and enlarged splitter join forces with the dive planes to increase downforce by 40%. It has a 3.8 litre twin-turbo V8 engine and produces 1000 hp. Only five units have been built and they have sold out.

Veneno, which is Spanish for venom, was built to celebrate Lamborghini’s 50th anniversary. The model lives up to its name as it takes a bite out of its rivals. It has a 6.5 litre V12 engine, yields 740 hp and accelerates from 0-62 mph in 2.9 seconds. Only nine vehicles were produced, so it now trades hands at unbelievable prices.

The daddy of them all is this made-to-measure supercar for one lucky buyer, hence the astronomical price tag. Its design is inspired by classic Rolls Royce models and super yachts. This exclusive two-seater has a panoramic sunroof and a hand-crafted wood and leather interior. Its mysterious owner is thought to be a collector of super yachts and private planes.
